Individual therapy for depression addresses the emotional, psychological, and behavioral aspects of depression. The goal is to help you understand the root causes of your depression, develop coping skills, and implement strategies to improve mood and overall functioning. We aim to create a life worth living, while helping to manage depressive symptoms.
Present focused, changed oriented, behavioral modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) are utilized in depression treatment treatment. Strategies such as behavioral activation (breaking the cycle of inactivity and avoidance by increasing engagement in rewarding activities) is a key component of treatment.
