Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Treatment

Individual Therapy

OCD treatment helps to manage and reduce the intensity of client’s symptoms, which typically involve persistent, intrusive thoughts (obsessions) and repetitive behaviors or mental rituals (compulsions). The primary goal of individual therapy for OCD is to help individuals challenge the patterns of thought and behavior that maintain their symptoms, and to develop healthier coping strategies.

Modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) are effective in treating OCD by confronting obsessive thoughts and gradually reducing the compulsive behaviors.
